Statement

A fallen tree is an opportunity to create something from its hidden beauty.  Beneath the bark is a beauty not often seen unless exposed by a woodworker.  As a woodturner, my chosen way is through the creation of bowls, hollow vessels, platters and many other items including pens, bottle stoppers and candle holders.  All my creations are one of a kind: each piece is unique in form and look. When I start a project I let the wood give me direction.  The project is already there within the wood, I only remove the excess.
